The Future Of Google And Facebook

By: GLENN DAVIS DOCTOR G

It’s happening at light speed. The changes taking place are profound. Recent changes to the ranking matrix algorithms have only added to the fierce battle. Facebook is playing the music card, the video comm card and just about anything else it can in an attempt to stay out front.

Rather than adding features seamlessly as Google has perfected, Facebook keeps taking steps back by confusing everyone with too much at once and too many changes too fast. As soon as Google announced that G+ was open to the public (invitations no longer required) the people at Facebook went into a scrambled overdrive in another attempt to beat the new kid on the block.

Google has practiced seamless integration from the get-go and rolls things in and out with finesse. Larry Page is no stranger when it comes to patience and sits back to let others stumble so the mistakes can be avoided. Haste makes waste. People are embracing the new and improved faster than ever because of the frustration of the continuous confusion that Mark Zuckerberg is placing on himself and Facebook.
