The New Way To Make Records
By GLENN DAVIS DOCTOR G
No, it’s not Star Trek or 2011 A Space Odyssey, but it is 2011, and a reality. Yes, through the miracle of cloud computing, it is now possible to make records with ANY artist worldwide via clouding. You don’t have to fly to London from Los Angeles to work with Elton if he is busy there. No more driving to the studio in New York City to have Clapton lay down guitar work while he is there working on any given project.
While “file transfer” is not a new way to collaborate worldwide, having a dropbox and online editing is. When you allow access to your cloud and through the use of special online editing suites, any artist can collaborate. You can, for example, set up basic tracks and anyone who is allowed access can add to it and make changes anytime, any day, anywhere! No travel or expense, just get online and contribute.
This will be beneficial to not only music people, but film people, book people, news people and the list goes on and on. This will no doubt have a profound effect on many industries in MANY ways. With the new cloud technology, the sky is the limit.
